If your matches list or a chat thread looks empty or stuck, the most common cause is a weak or interrupted connection, which is common on ship wifi.
Messages you send while offline appear in your thread right away in a “sending” state. They are not lost. They send automatically the next time you have a connection.
If a match has disappeared from your list entirely, check whether you or the other person blocked each other. A block closes the match for both people, and it does not notify anyone.
If your connection is fine and messages still aren’t loading, try closing and reopening the app. If that doesn’t help, contact support@seacoveapp.com.
