Frequently asked questions
The short version of the most common questions. For more detail, see the full support hub.
- Is Seacove free?
Yes. The Free tier lets you browse, match, and chat, with a limited number of likes. Pearl, Diamond, and Black Pearl add more, at prices shown in the app in your local currency. See
guide-signing-upand the in-app paywall for what each tier adds.- Who is Seacove for?
Cruise ship crew, and only crew. Everyone verifies with a guided selfie before they can like or message anyone. See
guide-verification.- Do I need to verify my account?
Yes. Everyone does. You can browse for as long as you like before verifying, with no deadline. But liking, matching, and messaging stay locked until you pass verification. See
troubleshooting-not-verified-why.- Does Seacove use my phone's location?
No. Seacove never asks for GPS access. The Ports tab and port overlaps use your ship’s public sailing schedule instead. See
security-location-how.- How many likes do I get?
Free accounts get a set number of swipes and likes over a rolling window, currently around 40 swipes and 10 likes every 12 hours. Pearl and above remove both limits. This number can change, so treat it as approximate rather than fixed.
- What's the difference between the tiers?
Free lets you browse, match, and chat with a limited number of likes. Pearl adds unlimited likes, unlimited Undo, and incognito mode. Diamond adds seeing who liked you, Daily Picks, a monthly Spotlight, and weekly Strong Likes. Black Pearl adds priority likes and the option to message someone before you’ve matched. Full detail and current prices are on the in-app paywall and at
/subscriptions.- Does the free tier show ads?
Free accounts see occasional ads between profiles. These are based on general context, never on anything personal about you or your matches. Pearl and above remove them. See
/subscriptions/pearl.- My ship isn't listed. What do I do?
Choose the closest match for now, or leave it blank and set your status to “at home.” Email support@seacoveapp.com with your ship’s name and cruise line, and we’ll look into adding it. See
troubleshooting-ship-not-listed.- Can I hide which ship I'm on?
Yes. Turn off ship visibility in Settings, and other users see a general sea region instead of your ship’s name. See
security-hide-ship.- How do I block or report someone?
Open their profile or your chat with them, and choose Block or Report. Reporting doesn’t require also blocking, and neither one tells the other person what you did. See
safety-blockingandsafety-reporting.- How do I delete my account?
From Settings, inside the app. If you can’t log in, use seacoveapp.com/delete-account instead. See
security-delete-account.- What languages does Seacove support?
Seacove reads your phone’s system language automatically and shows the app in that language, if we support it. There’s no separate language setting inside the app.
